Gathering Strength Together: Inside Our First Female Archetypes Panel Event

Overview

The Female Archetypes hosted its first panel event in London, bringing together founders and community partners including the Lone Design Club and Momo Kombucha to talk openly about bodies, business and the pressure to look a certain way while building both. The takeaway: the conversations happening in private, about GLP-1s, postpartum bodies, ageing, are far more honest than the ones happening in public, and there's real appetite for more spaces where that's allowed.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of inviting you all to our first The Female Archetypes panel event. With help from the Lone Design Club, Momo Kombucha and a room full of women willing to say the quiet part out loud, it turned into one of the more honest evenings we've hosted.

What we actually talked about

Less "brand strategy," more the conversations most founders have in private and rarely on a stage: what it's actually like to build a business while your own body is changing in ways you didn't choose, and didn't necessarily plan around. GLP-1s came up. Postpartum bodies came up. So did the quiet pressure to look a certain way while representing a brand built around not doing that.

What stood out

The honesty. Nobody on that panel pretended to have it fully figured out, including us. That felt like the point: a room where "I'm still working this out for myself" was an acceptable, even expected, answer.

Why we're doing more of these

Most fashion events are built around a product launch or a photo opportunity. This one was built around a conversation, and the response told us that's what was actually missing. Not another polished panel about "empowerment." An honest one about the parts that are still hard.

What would you want the next one to actually cover?
